One-in-four Central Florida residents are working directly or indirectly in the tourism industry, making tourism the area's top employer.  Approximately 48.9 million visitors came to the Orlando area in 2008, generating over $30 billion in annual regional economic impact on average.  Visitors are saving Orange County residents approximately $540 in annual property taxes. Orlando is not only a great place to visit but also to call home.  There is a wide array of entertainment options for area locals without having to travel far and wide to enjoy state of the art technology with the many rides and attractions in the area.

Orlando's tourism and hospitality industry has a strong reputation of local charitable giving.  The theme parks and attractions, hotels, convention centers, restaurants and event service providers recognize the value of supporting the area community and is working toward building a strong future.
