Lake Mary and Sanford are both celebrating National Night Out on October 6. Enjoy an evening of music, food, family activities, games and the opportunity to meet local police officers and community organizations.

🚤 ENJOY A CRUISE ON LAKE MONROE
October is a wonderful time to get out on the water! Enjoy a scenic cruise aboard the Barbara-Lee paddlewheel riverboat in Sanford. Choose from lunch cruises, dinner cruises, themed cruises and special Halloween experiences.
It’s a fun date night or a great way to enjoy a beautiful Central Florida evening with friends and family.

⚔️ ENCHANTED KNIGHTS – OCTOBER 24
Get ready to step back in time! Historic Downtown Sanford becomes a medieval kingdom during Enchanted Knights: Dungeons of Downtown.
Enjoy live armored combat, stage shows, artisans, scavenger hunts, contests, entertainment and plenty of medieval fun. Costumes are encouraged!
Best of all, admission and parking are FREE!

👻 LAKE MARY HALLOWEEN SPOOKTACULAR – OCTOBER 24
Bring the kids and get ready for some Halloween fun! Lake Mary's Halloween Spooktacular offers an afternoon filled with festive activities for the entire family.

🧙 HALLOWEEN IN DOWNTOWN SANFORD – OCTOBER 31
Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, making it the perfect night to head to Downtown Sanford and enjoy the Halloween atmosphere. One of the area's unique traditions is the Sanford Witches Ride, where you can see local participants dressed in their best witch costumes riding through the community.
🍂 EXPLORE HISTORIC DOWNTOWN SANFORD
You don't need a special event to enjoy Sanford! Spend a Saturday strolling through Historic Downtown Sanford, browsing the local shops, enjoying the restaurants and breweries, grabbing a coffee or simply taking in the historic architecture.
Don't forget to walk down to the Sanford Riverwalk and enjoy the beautiful views of Lake Monroe.
🌅 WATCH THE SUNSET AT LAKE MONROE
October is the perfect time to enjoy a Florida sunset. Head to Fort Mellon Park, bring the family or your four-legged friend, and enjoy the waterfront views as the sun goes down.
🚶♀️ TAKE A WALK ON THE RINEHART TRAIL
Looking for something active? The Rinehart Trail is a wonderful place to get outside and enjoy the cooler October temperatures. Walk, jog or bike while enjoying the beautiful natural surroundings of Lake Mary.

Sylvan Lake Park is another great local escape. Enjoy walking trails, lake views, fishing, recreation areas and plenty of open space. It’s a wonderful place to spend a beautiful Florida afternoon.
