With nearly 200 golf courses located in the Orlando area, well known golf instructors and the PGA/ LPGA Tour, it's no wonder Orlando is a golf mecca. The Golf Channel and the PGA merchandise Show is also here. Golf has also helped generate $300 million in spending from Central Florida visitors last year.  About 40 PGA and LPGA Tour members call Greater Orlando home including Arnold Palmer (Bay Hill), Tiger Woods (Isleworth), and Annika Sorenstram (Lake Nona).

Approximatey 6 million rounds of golf were played in Central Florida in 2010 according to the PGA of America's Performance Trak database. An average price of $31 per round, that translates to $186 million in greens fees alone.  High end golfers can get pamperd at The Ritz Carlton Golf Club at Grande Lakes or Waldorf Astoria Golf Club.
