Off the beaten path, but just a stone's throw (about 5 miles) from downtown Orlando is a New Urban Community called Baldwin Park. If you have lived in Orlando long enough, you will remember when the Orlando Executive Airport was called Baldwin Field. Does that give you an idea of the vicinity of this quaint, home town feeling, come home when the street lights come on, community? Just east of Orlando and north of East Colonial Drive you will find your new home, or at least a new favorite haunt.

Since sales started in 2001 Baldwin Park now has the ability to host almost 3000 households. The community consists of two to six bedroom homes, townhomes and condos currently ranging from $275,000 to $1,799,000. All homes have large porches and are situated to encourage community bonding and neighborly comradery.

With 19 parks, 27 miles of roadway and 50 miles of sidewalk/bike paths it has become very attractive to the active millennials who like to walk, run, bike, rollerblade and more. Track Shack has group training practice runs at the Blue Jacket Park track in Baldwin Park and a Junior Track Shack Running Club that also meets here. These gregarious millennials are welcoming to all. With many events planned each year, all are open to the public. They have one of the largest groups of little princesses, superhero's, ghouls and goblins walking the streets at Halloween. This community gives you the feeling of safety that we felt as children. You will see unsupervised youngsters riding their bikes up and down the paths.

Some locals also have local businesses on New Broad Street. Osprey Taverns is owned by a Baldwin Park family as well as the Japanese Restaurant across the street Seito Sushi. Along with these unique eateries, New Broad Street also offers;
La Bella - a traditional Italian-American restaurant
Chi Pen Asian - a Chinese, Tai, Vietnamese and Turkish restaurant
Provision & Buzz Co. – a casual steakhouse
Colibri Mexican Cuisine Baldwin Park – Mexican & Tex-Mex dishes, full bar & outside seating
Café 906 – boasts French pastries & coffee with select sandwiches & quiches – outside seating

Of course there are chain favorites as well including Five Guys, Planet Smoothie, Subway & Gator’s Dockside. Absolutely something for everyone!
