Tourism officials are projecting the number of visitors to Orlando is expected to grow 3.1 percent or 50.1 million people this year.  This could be the first U.S. destination to top 50 million visitors in one year.  The majority of the visitors are domestic travelers and international visitors are expected to grow as well.  The Orlando/Orange County Convention & Visitors Bureau's campaign, "Visit Orlando" is hoping to draw the record crowds this year.

Orlando's tourism industry could brake the record as long as the economy cooperates.
