Florida Legislature's 2010 session is now underway and job creation is a main concern for the state Legislature.  The unemployment rate in Florida is 11.8%.  Here are some of the ideas on getting people back to work:

Build a commercial space industry and offer incentives for companies to hire aerospace workers displaced by the space shuttle program shutdown.

Offer a loan guarantee program for small firms that would help lenders make emergency bridge loans or create revolving credit programs.

Build up the state's transportation trust fund to spur more road building projects.

Allocate another $10 million to promote tourism, one of the hardest hit industries in Florida.

Provide more incentives to promote high tech sectors, shifting more toward small companies.
