Since the market has drastically slowed, many real estate agents state that it's too expensive to try to sell homes that are over priced. As a result, agents are cutting the listings or being selective of the listings accepted.  Marketing budgets have increased for realtors and it is not worth advertising over priced homes that are not going to sell. Realtors basically have two choices when it comes to unrealistic sellers, tell them what they want to hear or tell them the truth: Values have dropped.
