In 2010 the number of British visitors who traveled to Orlando fell for a third consecutive year.  Central Florida was once the largest international market.  It is difficult to pin point for sure why this is happening.

Last year was considered ideal for British visitors in some respects, due to the grand opening of Universal Orlando Wizarding World of Harry Potter attraction. This attraction built around English author J.K. Rowling's beloved novels, which have a large fan base in the United Kingdom, the Potter attraction has been a huge success.

Last year Central Florida was down nearly 15 percent to approximatly 710,000 visitors according to the Visit Orlando local visitors bureau.  At its high point in 2007, the yearly head count of the Brits reached nearly 1 Million.  Afterwards it fell 3 % due to the recession.
