Seminole Community College has opened a new Center for Economic Development at Heathrow along I-4. This three story facility offers a wide variety of programming and professional training opportunities for the area workforce. Students seeking to begin or fortify a career can choose from specialized career certificates, continuting education and workplace training.

Are you retired or “almost retired” and looking for social events with other Heathrow residents? Then the R and R of Heathrow group of approximately 100 memebers is for you! Events include short trips, lunch, dinner, boat rides, the theatre and other enjoyable activities.

The Residence Inn by Marriott will be the latest addition of hotels to the Lake Mary area located on International Parkway. Built on 2 acres of land south of the Lake Mary Marriott, the $16 million hotel will consist of 119 rooms and 84,000 square foot. The hotel project should be complete by spring 2009.
