Bank-owned condos priced at less than $60,000. are generating activity in the local Orlando housing market.  Private investors from everywhere are buying.  Due to the fact that it is still difficult to get a condo loan, people who have $50,000. cash to invest are coming out of the woodwork.  Cash deals make the investments work for them now by collecting rent on a property that has no mortgage and then selling for a large profit three to five years down the road.  When prices fall it is advantageous to buy.
