The housing downturn looks like it's going to be a long one as millions of the aging baby boomers plan to sell their homes in the next 20 years.
There are more sellers than buyers in the following six states: Connecticut, New York (excludes Manhatten), North Dakota, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Hawaii. Areas with bitter weather and traffic congestion tends to push retirees out first.
The warm weather places should be hit last in the states of Florida, Arizona and Nevada which is good news for homeowners in these states.
