Breaking News for all of those who are wondering if Seminole County  School’s will be expanding! The Seminole County School Board bought the 47 - Acre Chase Estate on Old Lake Mary Road for $4.9 million. The district plans to build an elementary school and a learning center on the site. Steven Triece represented the school board in the transaction.

According to scientists, warmer oceans produce stronger crosswinds (wind shear) which seems to be a factor in haulting the development and strength of hurricanes in Florida and the United States.  Researchers have found that oceans have been warming for over a century. Other studies say that the more frequent and powerful hurricanes are the result of the warmer temperatures of the ocean.

Good news for Florida entreprenueuers and startup businesses as the state is ranked at No. 5 of the nation’s best commerce tax systems. This is a great incentive to have a start up business in Florida because the taxes are not affecting the profits until the company grows.
The state of South Dakota topped the list with a score of 10.3 and at the bottom of the list is Washington, D.C.

The Residence Inn by Marriott will be the latest addition of hotels to the Lake Mary area located on International Parkway. Built on 2 acres of land south of the Lake Mary Marriott,  the $16 million hotel will consist of 119 rooms and 84,000 square foot. The hotel project should be complete by spring 2009.
